Function and Organic Acid Type
In everyday life you can see widespread use of acid, such as in medicine, fertilizer, and as an explosive. Although acid is a compound that is very useful, the acid can also cause damage because it is corrosive. An example is acid rain that can destroy buildings. Organic acid is carbonic acid compounds given off by plants and animals. Most of these acids are not dangerous and a lot to give flavor to the fruit and food. Examples of Organic Acid, among others, oil and fats combine with glycerol, ethanoic acid (HCO2H) or formic acid in bee stinger and some ants that serve to defend themselves. Some species are Formic acid, acetic acid, malic acid, tarta acid, butyric acid, ascorbic acid, and citric acid.
