Pure 6PPD is a solid white product, and will gradually oxidize to solid chocolate when exposed to air. 6PPD industrial products are brownish brown grains or granules to blackish brown, and will slowly harden when temperatures exceed 35-40 ℃. Soluble in gasline, benzene, acetone, ethyl acetate, dichloroethane, carbon tetrachloride, methylbenzene, ethylalkohol and other organic solvents, insoluble in water.
As an ursol type of antioxidant rubber, 6PPD has better compatibility with rubber, rarely blooms, low volatility, low toxicity, with excellent antioxidants, anti-ozone, anti-flex cracks, anti-insolation cracks, strong inhibition of copper or manganese and other toxic metals, applicable to all types of synthetic rubber and natural rubber. With good flexibility in sizing material and little effect on vulcanization, this can soften the sizing material, so that it can be used for tires and other types of rubber products, it can also be used as a heat oxygen stabilizer for polyethylene, polypropylene and acrylic resin.
Chemical formula: C18H24N2
It is a type of Dark purple granule, and its relative density is 0.986-1.0 (60 ° C), it can provide strong antiozonant and antioxidant properties with excellent high temperature fatigue and bending resistance to rubber compounds.
Applications include use in components of pneumatic tires, solid tires, belts, hoses, cables, automotive mounts, bushings and general mechanical products which are exposed to continuous and intermittent dynamic operating conditions and require protection from ozonization.
