Polytron® 8200 CAT Drager
Dräger Polytron 8200 CAT is a continuation of the explosion-proof detector that detects explosive gas at the lower limit of the explosion (LEL). This detector uses the DrägerSensor® catalytic bead Ex ... DD which detects the majority of explosive gases and vapors. The latest generation of DD type gas sensors is based on proven catalytic bead principles. The innovative double active element produces excellent long-term zero stability. Dräger has again raised the standard for poison resistance. The resulting usage period, gives you a low investment cost. Measurement performance has also improved. An innovative gas inlet allows the sensor to respond to gas in a matter of seconds.
Easy device management through digital communication
Dräger Polytron 8200 is equipped with a digital interface, allowing checking the status of the transmitter remotely quickly and easily. Integration with existing asset management systems such as PACTware ™ can be done via DTM.
In addition to the common HART® communication system, the PROFIBUS® PA fieldbus interface, FOUNDATION fieldbus ™ H1, and Modbus RTU are also available.
The same design, the same operating principle
Dräger Polytron 8200 is part of the Polytron 8000 series. All transmitters in this series have the same design and user interface. This allows uniform operation by reducing training and maintenance requirements.
Large graphic display and backlight display status information clearly and in an easy-to-use format. The gas concentration measured, the type of gas selected, and the unit of measurement displayed during normal operation. Colored (green, yellow and red) LEDs provide additional alarm and status information.
Polytron 8200 is operated with a magnetic bar on the contact surface.
Safe and tough container for all applications
Polytron 8200 has a Class I explosion-proof container, Div. 1 made of aluminum or stainless steel, making it suitable for use in a variety of environmental conditions. The "e" version protection type features a docking station that makes it easy to install in a dangerous atmosphere without the need to pull the channel (in an approved place).
