Drager Polytron 8100 EC
Polytron 8100 EC is the latest explosion-proof transmitter from Dräger to detect toxic gas or oxygen. This transmitter uses a plug-and-play electrochemical DrägerSensor to detect specific gases. Durable, smart and sensitive - DrägerSensor
With the unique DrägerSensor electrochemical, Polytron 8100 can detect more than 100 toxic gases and oxygen. This long-lived sensor provides continuous detection even in the toughest conditions. DrägerSensor has the widest temperature and humidity range for industry, between -40 ° C to +65 ° C (-40 ° F to +150 ° F). Internal memory contains all calibration and configuration information: allows sensors to be sent in their initial calibrated state and ready for immediate use. Easy device management through digital communication
Dräger Polytron 8100 is equipped with a digital interface that allows quick and easy checking of transmitter status from a distance. Integration with existing asset management systems such as PACTware ™ can be done via DTM.
With the main addition of the HART® communication system, the fieldbus interface with PROFIBUS® PA, FOUNDATION fieldbus ™ H1, and Modbus RTU are also provided.
The remote sensor option does not require a channel
The addition of the remote sensor case allows the sensor to be installed far from the transmitter. This makes it easy to install sensors close to the intended gas cloud, while placing the display at eye level. Because the sensor is connected to the transmitter through a completely safe path, there is no need to pull the channel for remote sensor installation. And to make things even easier, Dräger includes cables up to 100 feet (30 meters) long. This very secure connection allows direct sensor replacement in a dangerous atmosphere without the need to turn off electricity or limit access to the area.
