Types of Hydraulic PumpsHydraulic pump is a type of pump that is used as a hydraulic drive system as a source of mechanical power. The fort hydraulic pump itself functions to convert mechanical energy into hydrostatic energy through the pressure of the fluid flow. There are several types of hydraulic pumps, including: 1. Hydraulic Gear Pump This gear type hydraulic pump is a type of hydraulic pump that is widely used in hydraulic systems. The power generated by this hydraulic gear pump comes from the rotation of the rotating gear. So that the fluid is captured between the gear gap and the pump housing, and then forwarded to the pressure line (outlet). Furthermore, this fluid will be channeled upwards with even higher pressure to be channeled to the hydraulic system. 2. Fan / Impeller Hydraulic Pump (Vane Pump) The fan hydraulic pump is a type of positive displacement pump consisting of a vane mounted on a rotor and rotating in the pump cavity. These hydraulic vane pumps are commonly used in the mold & dies industry, injection molding machinery industry, and construction machinery. This type of hydraulic pump has a similar way of working as a water pump mechanism in general. This pump uses a pump housing and has two inlets and two outlets in opposite directions. The construction of this type of hydraulic pump aims to keep the radial pressure in the hydraulic fluid balanced. The vane/fan/impeller here is mounted on a slotted shaft and due to the centrifugal force, a pumping process occurs. On the housing, there are lips as a tight seal between the inside of the casing and the fan, with the aim of minimizing wear due to contact between metals. 3. Hydraulic Piston Pump Hydraulic Piston Pump is a type of hydraulic pump with a working mechanism similar to that of a compressor pump. The difference can be seen from the channeled media, where the compressor pump pumps air, while the piston hydraulic pump pumps fluid. The suction process in this type of hydraulic pump engine occurs when the piston is in the open position, so that hydraulic oil from the crankshaft enters the cylinder. In this pumping step there is an increase in the cylinder fluid pressure through the check valve to the pressure line. Piston hydraulic pumps handle large flows at high hydraulic system pressures, providing optimum efficiency and reliability. A fairly compact size with high performance and power density.
