Overload AC

Overload AC is an AC spare part that serves to secure the compressor if the compressor works abnormally. This overload works by cutting off the flow of electricity to the compressor, so that there is no damage to the AC engine. The location of the overload itself is near the AC compressor.





In order for your air conditioner to work normally, some AC spare parts are needed that can control the AC temperature pressure so that the resulting temperature remains stable. 1. Lack of Freon Pressure

Freon is a refrigerant in air conditioners. Freon or refrigerant will absorb and dissipate heat in the cooling cycle.

Absorption of heat by Freon occurs in the evaporator. Heat dissipation by Freon occurs in the condenser. If the Freon pressure is less, it can trigger the overload protector.

If the pressure is less, then the temperature of the refrigerant entering the compressor suction pipe will be higher than normal. This will cause the temperature in the compressor to be higher or hotter. If the compressor is hot, the overload will work to protect the compressor from overheating.

2. Abnormal capacitor

There are two capacitors in split AC, namely the capacitor for the compressor and the capacitor for the condenser fan. The outdoor capacitor serves to help start the compressor. If the capacitor is damaged, then the compressor motor is not able to start running, as a result the electric current increases.

When the electric current flowing in the motor-compressor winding rises, the winding will get hotter. To prevent the compressor motor winding from burning, the overload will cut off the electric current entering the compressor.

3. Compressor oil is lacking

The oil in the compressor serves as a lubricant for the mechanical parts of the compressor. The oil will minimize the friction of the Split AC compressor piston.

If the amount of oil in the compressor is reduced, the lubrication process will be disrupted. The constant friction of the piston will cause the heat to increase. Excessive heat in the compressor due to lack of oil will also trigger overload work. Overload will cut off the current so that the compressor stops.
