How to Use Glue Shoots in the Aquarium Making Process

Installing glass glue on both sides of the glass in the aquarium making process is quite different from the process of installing rubber glue, gasket glue, concrete glue, building adhesive, or other adhesive glue. To make it easier for you to know how the process of making an aquarium to installing glass glue, here are the steps:

1. Glass Measurement.

Before installing the glass part of the aquarium, make sure to measure the length and width of the glass that will be cut as needed, the aquarium has 5 sides of glass that are combined into a complete unit using glass glue.

2. Glass Cutting

After the glass is marked, cut the glass using a glass cutting tool following the marker line that has been made.

3. Smoothing

Smooth the sharp edges of the glass using a grinder. Smoothing aims so that when combining the two sides of the glass using glass glue it can be perfectly glued and there are no jagged sides due to the uneven glass.

4. Glue Temporary Glass

Placement of the five sides of the glass that has been cut, to keep the position of the glass from changing then attach a large sized duct tape (try the brown one to distinguish the color of the duct tape from the color of the glass)

5. Gluing

If the glass is appropriate, then combine the glass using glass glue at every meeting of the glass with the glass that is located on the inner wall of the aquarium. When gluing, try to be as neat as possible so that there are no gaps between the glass.

6. Drying

After the gluing of the glass is neat, you can leave the glass that has been given glass glue for 24 hours to dry and stick firmly.

7. Testing

When the glue is dry, try adding water to the aquarium. If there is seepage of water that comes out, patch it immediately using glass glue.
