The hammer test works by throwing the hammer on the tool. Hammer test is released by a spring that has a certain spring stiffness. The compressive strength test process using the Hammer Test is as follows:
1. Remove the plunger from the concrete hammer tool by pressing it perpendicular to the structural element to be tested.
2. Then to get the compressive strength, it can be seen in the graph of the relationship between the reflected value and the compressive strength of the concrete.
3. After hitting a hard surface, the hammer test will bounce (rebound) and this rebound is used as a measure of the surface hardness. The reading of the rebound value is then converted on the scale into compressive strength.
