Galvanometer is a type of measuring device used to measure how strong a current and a relatively small difference in electrical potential. In the dynamics of electricity, many galvanometers are equated with ammeters. In fact, both have different functions. Ammeters themselves are devices used to measure the strength of electric currents in a closed circuit.
Galvanometers are generally used to measure current in a coil. A galvanometer will be hung on the coil, automatically the magnetic coupling will rotate the coil. Well, the way the galvanometer works is turning the coil because the Lorentz force is the same size but opposite direction which will cause the coil to rotate and the needle will show the large scale of the electric current measured.
