Foam Fire Extinguisher Media - Foam is one of the extinguishing media that is applied to a fire extinguisher. Foam foam is usually used to extinguish class AB fires. Where class A is a fire caused by objects that contain carbon as an element of its manufacture (wood, paper, cloth, etc.). While class B is a fire caused by liquid chemicals and also (gasoline, diesel, kerosene, etc.).
We sell various types of foam media, namely:
a. AFFF (Aqueous Film Forming Foam)
With concentrations of 1%, 3% and 6%, it can be used with fresh water or sea water. It is suitable for low standard expansion foam manufacturing equipment. Use is recommended for fires caused by oil spills and fire in large tanks. This high-foaming extinguisher media has characteristics that can be combined with the ability to form films / layers quickly to extinguish fires. Example of a fire that occurred on a plane / flight where the speed factor becomes very important. This extinguishing media can be formulated with environmentally friendly C6-based fluorination surfactants, hydrocarbon surfactants and stabilizers for the best quality in the extinguishing process. This type of extinguishing media also has a long expiration period. While Fluorination Surfactants can work quickly and can coat the surface of burning material very effectively.
b. AR-AFFF (Alchohol Resistant - Aqueous Film Forming Foam)
Environmentally friendly C6-based foam foam concentrate Fluorinated Surfactant, Hydrocarbon Surfactant, Stabilizer and Polysaccharide, which forms a layer of pseudo plastic on the surface of polar solvents. And it forms a cohesive thin polymer film at the interface between the foam and the water-soluble Polar solvent. This thin polysaccharide film protects foam without damaging the aqueous film by polar solvents. The polymer film has its own sealing characteristics so that the film, if disturbed, will regenerate by itself. AR-AFFF is also known as ARC (Alcohol Resistant Concentrate), ATC (Alcohol Type Concentrate), AGFFF (Aqueous Gel Film Forming Foam), MPF (Multipurpose Foam) and UF (Universal Foam). This extinguishing media is very effective to extinguish fires with liquid chemicals containing alcohol. Also available in the type of Low Temperature Freeze Protected.
We provide AR-AFFF with concentrations of 1x3%, 3 x 3%, and 3 x 6%. Can be mixed using fresh water and sea water. It is suitable to be applied for standard low-expansion foam manufacturing equipment, and for applications in fire-type spray protection systems such as sprinkler fire extinguishers. The media is ideal as an extinguisher, especially in high-risk areas with alcohol and hydrocarbons as the main risk.
c. HEF (High Expansion Foam)
HEF has a foam concentration of between 1-3% which is used for medium or high expansion ratios. With special hydrocarbon surfactants plus stabilizers, preservatives and solvents. So it is very effective to extinguish fires even at low temperatures. HEF type extinguishing media are ideal for use in engine rooms, aircraft hangers, tunnels, warehouses and confined spaces to quickly cover burning areas. A higher percentage of air and less water content in bubble bubbles, so HEF has very low electrical conductivity. HEF media can also be used with fresh water and sea water. If this extinguishing media is applied with a compressed air foam (CAFS) system, it will produce a very thick and low drying blanket.
d. PF (Protein Foam)
Protein Foam (PF) is a type of foam extinguishing media that can extinguish fire and prevent it from igniting again. Formulated with hydrolyzed protein, metal salts, special stabilizers and preservatives so that it is effective in extinguishing fires and has a long expiration period.
e. Foam Class K
In accordance with the K fire class for fires in the kitchen where the highest fire risk factors are fat and oil, this type of foam media is specially formulated with special organic salts, stabilizers and preservatives.
f. Hazmat Foam
This type of foam is specially developed to protect the burned area and also firefighters from the risk of vapors from spills of liquid chemicals that are burned. So that it can simplify the evacuation process and speed up the cleaning process.
g. Fluoro Protein Foam (FP)
Fluoro protein is an extinguishing media containing hydrolyzed protein, fluorochemistry, metal salts, special stabilizers and preservatives. It is suitable for dealing with old fires such as fires that occur in petroleum drilling, etc.
h. Fluoro Protein foam Forming Film (FFFP)
Fluoro Forming Film Protein foam is a type of foam extinguishing media that is also made from protein which can overcome fires and prevent fires from returning. Very suitable to be applied to class B fires with the risk of fire in the form of hydrocarbons. Such as fires caused by crude oil, gasoline, aftur, kerosene etc.
i. Alchohol Resistant (FP-AR) Fluoro Protein Foam
This type of extinguishing media also uses hydrolyzed protein to extinguish fires and is resistant to alcohol.
